Admission Procedure Graduate Courses

The admission Procedure for BBA, BTech, BCA, B.Com and BA(Honours) are given below:

1. Obtain our Prospectus

The Prospectus is available at www.dbuniversity.ac.in, free of cost in the footer section, under Admissions.

2. Apply

• Visit the online application portal of the University (www.dbuniversity.ac.in/a), register using a valid e-mail id. Follow the “Steps for Application” given on the portal and enter the required information.
• After registration, check your email and validate your email id. Visit the Application Portal again and log in.
• Select the programme you are applying for and fill in the form.
• Once you submit your application form, you will find a payment link.
• The Application Fee is Rs 600. Payment can be made using Netbanking, UPI (PayTM / GooglePay / BHIM, etc) or NEFT to the University account.

Once you make a payment, the Admission Office will schedule entrance test/interview for you and the details will be informed to you personally.

3. Take Admission

All candidates are required to appear for an Entrance Test and/or a personal interview.

• Please note that the Entrance Test and Personal Interview will be conducted on the same day.
• Admission will be given on the basis of past academic record and performance at the Entrance Test / Personal Interview.
• At the time of admission, the candidates must produce
  1. Originals of marksheets for verification
  2. Proof of date of birth
  3. Caste/Tribe/ Community certificate if applicable
  4. Student health form duly filled

4. Pay Fees

• Candidates who are qualified for admission are to pay the admission fees (non-refundable) before 5:00 pm on the day of admission. If this is not done, the offer of admission will stand cancelled. The balance fees payable are to be paid within 7 days. The payment may be made in the following modes (listed in order of increasing transaction charges:
• UPI (PayTM / GooglePay / BHIM, etc)
• Pay online at the admission portal of the university: www.dbuniversity.ac.in/a NEFT to the University account:

• DD in favour of “Assam Don Bosco University” payable a Guwahati and sent to the Registrar, Assam Don Bosco University, Tapesia Gardens, Kamarkuchi, Sonapur – 782 402 or submitted in person at the University office at Azara or Tapesia.
• After payment of the fee, a copy of the transaction details (Student Name, Mode of payment, UTR no, date of payment, amount and Bank with Branch name) must be furnished for completion of the fee payment task.

Failing payment, the admission shall stand cancelled and the seat offered to other candidates. In addition to the means mentioned above, the balance fees may also be paid online.

Please note that no fees will be accepted in cash or cheque.

ENTRANCE TEST (DBU-GET) FOR BTECH (Regular and Lateral Entry)

B.TECH (Regular)

• Those who do not appear for JEE or State Entrance Tests must appear for Don Bosco University Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-GET).
• The DBU-GET for BTECH will examine the candidates on their proficiency in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the class XII level. The duration of the Entrance Test is 3 hours.
• BTECH Entrance Tests will be conducted online. The date and time of the test will be informed through email and phone personally.

B.TECH (Lateral Entry))

• All candidates for BTECH (Lateral Entry) must appear for Don Bosco University Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-GET).
• The DBU-GET for BTECH (Lateral Entry) will examine the candidates on Mathematics, Computer Science, English Usage and the discipline into which they seek admission.
• BTECH (Lateral Entry) Entrance Tests will be conducted online. The date and time of the test will be informed through email and phone personally. The duration of the Entrance Test is 3 hours.
