| About DBCET |
| The first constituent College of Don Bosco University is Don Bosco College of Engineering and Technology (DBCET), Airport Road, Azara, which launched its engineering programs in August, 2008. DBCET offers Engineering Courses in four streams – Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Electrical Engineering. When fully operational, it will have a full complement of 1500 students in various streams of engineering. |
At DBCET, lectures, tutorials and practicals are augmented by periodic seminars,
symposia, guest lectures and workshops which provide a far more comprehensive
view of the subject than mere lecture methodology. At every state of the learning
process, interface with industry and interaction with practicing professionals will
keep the students abreast of current developments. This will give students the
'knowledge-plus-experience' edge. |
| Evaluation of students will be done continuously through class tests, quizzes, assignments, seminars, projects,
mid-semester examination and an end-semester examination.
This evaluation procedure, designed to test the analytical and problem solving skills,
and creative thinking of students, will focus upon the performance of the students throughout the year.
Details of the evaluation procedure are available in the syllabus. |
